Halloween

I got have a lot of candy but first Owen got a dollar. But I didn’t, but he has to share his candy with my mom and his mom. And, my dog didn’t get to go. And, Lane is our friend and he went with us. And, he is our favorite person. And, we went out on the street with our dad’s hand. And then I ate a lot of Dots, and then I ate a cherry tootsie roll and then I had two Dots and I gave Mick one, that’s Evan’s dad and he’s one of our friends too. And then we came back to our house. And Evan had a gun. It was a Star Wars gun. I were Clone Captain Fox and Evan was Clone Captain Rex. He is the Captain of the Clones. The end. – Rion Stufflebeam

On Halloween I was Jengo Fett from Star Wars. He died in the second movie. Rion was Captain Fox from Star Wars. We were both people from Star Wars. And, I got to go trick-or-treating two times on Halloween. My friend Evan and my friend Lane also went trick-or-treating with me the second time. The first time Lane also went trick-or-treating with me. When we got home, we got to eat dinner then we got to play Legos and watch “How I Became a Penguin Zombie”. It was really good and we only got to watch eight of the shows. They were awesome shows. When I went trick-or-treating the first time, I saw my friends Alex and Lennon. - Owen

Hallowen Pumpkins

We put off the Halloween activities a little too long this year. Halloween morning the boys were busy making their jack-o-lanterns. Rion had no interest in touching the insides or in taking the time to carve it, but he did enjoy drawing on it for Daddy to carve. Owen loved all of it and did a great job! They picked out giant pumpkins for outside. Last year the animals ate their pumpkins, so I think this year they figured bigger ones would last longer. The logic must have worked. It’s almost January and they are still sitting by our back door. I keep trying to get Mike to throw them away, but he seems to think using them as a door stop is easier than actually fixing our screen door. :)

Fall Soccer

In this soccer season I scored four goals. One game I scored one goal. The next game I scored one goal again. The next game I scored two goals. And, my friend Aidan scored like 300 goals maybe because I passed it to him and he got a goal. (Through 10/16) - Owen

My next game I scored two goals. Every game I had at least four good shots on goal. And, I got new glasses for soccer. They are called sports goggles. They are pretty cool. They look really awesome and they had glass protectors so it didn’t hurt when the ball hit my face. After all of the soccer games, I got to go to Enchanted Castle to say my name with a microphone and see all the soccer players on my team. It was a fun party and we got to play games. There was so much to do. I love Enchanted CASTLE! - Owen

Karate - Rion's 1st Stripe

I got a new stripe but I was bad for just one time when I got a stripe but they still gave me one. I just have to get three more. Two black ones and one red one. That is it. They have to go on our belts, only on our Karate belts, only that. And when we get all of our stripes we get to go on the orange one next. The end. – Orion

Thomas and the Zoo

I sawed a good movie what is a movie that has a lion in it. It’s a golden lion. And then we went to the zoo the next day. And then we went in the bat house first. We sawed a big brown bear swimming and I was afraid cause it was going to come out of the glass. – Rion Stufflebeam

Halloween Party

We had a Halloween party with four of our friends. This is one of the families, Patrick, Dawn, Alyssa, and Joshua. This is the other family, Corey, Carissa, Nathaniel, and Sammy. The Halloween party was so cool and so fun. Do you know why it was so fun? We got to watch TV and we got to listen to Halloween music actually. We got to listen to other music too. So, that’s why the Halloween party was so fun. Done. Fun and Done rhyme. - Owen

I weared Buzz Lightyear. I weared Clone Captain Fox. I weared Batman. I weared Red Power Ranger. And, I got lots of candy. And then I ate them all up. And my dessert was popcorn what had sprinkles and white chocolate on them. And then, the end. – Rion Stufflebeam

Chicago Fire

After hearing about the ice cream nachos that Owen had, Rion wanted to go to his first Chicago Fire game. Half-price tickets for the final home game (and Brian McBride and C.J. Brown’s final Chicago Fire home game) sealed the deal. He enjoyed seeing the mascots and the food. I think he actually watched the i-pod a little less there than the other professional games he’s been to. J - N

We went to a Chicago Fire. The Chicago Fire tied with the D.C. United. The Fire really got two goals but they didn’t count them. One of the goals they didn’t get. Do you know why? Because they were off sides when they kicked it. And, the other goal wasn’t a goal because a guy got hurt. I saw the guy get hurt but I don’t think any of the Chicago players did. And they had a couple of really good shots. One almost went in. The D.C. United had one really good shot. It hit the top of the Chicago Fire goal post and bounced off but the goal keeper just saved it. He caught it. Done. - Owen

At my first Chicago Fire game and this guy is a boy and I sawed fire. They shooted up fire. And then we got to see a soccer game and kids came out to show them. And, I sawed there mascot Sparky. And, I saw the puppy Sparky dog. I ate ice cream nachos. And, number 20 on the Fire team Brian McBrian retired. The end. – Rion Stufflebeam

 

 

Goebberts

At Goebberts my friends Macy and Logan went in a haunted house with me. Logan’s mom went in there too. And, we got to see a pig race. And, we got to go in a maze. The little kids won because the big kids got stuck in the maze. That would be still Macy, Logan, and Owen. And, there was a dinosaur that ate pumpkins and it was called Pumpkin Eating Dinosaur. And there was another maze we went in. Done. - Owen

Me and my friends Declan and Billy and Logan and Macy got to go in Declan and Logan are boys and Billy is a boy, but not Macy. Macy is a girl. We got to go in a maze. And, we went in only the big boys, not Billy or Declan or me went in the haunted house. And, I am a boy. I went in the bouncy jump and then we fed pigs. And there was this baby pig who got right out of his pig. I sawed, oh, oh, oh, I saw a pumpkin t-rex and he ate a pumpkin and he did smoke out of his nose. The end. – Rion Stufflebeam

Geneva & Kuipers

We have never taken the kids apple picking, and after a trip out to the country, they still haven’t been. We made our annual trip out to Kuipers hoping to pick some apples, but it was late in the season and a nice day. Apparently the rest of the Chicagoland area had the same idea that we had. The trees were almost bare by the time we got there, so we bribed the kids with apple cider donuts and just bought the apples from the store. On the plus side, we stopped at Grahams 310 in Geneva on the way out there. We love frozen hot chocolate, but can’t visit Serendipity 3 in Las Vegas or New Your each time we want it. Fortunately we’ve found a little café in Geneva which makes a great one. They also make homemade ice cream, gelato, and chocolate. If you are in the area, we highly recommend it. - N

The day I played soccer, we lost. After, I got to go to a restaurant named Grahams 310 and by it there was a chocolate store. We got to see people make chocolate. It was a very cool place where they got to make chocolate. After mommy went in there, me and Daddy and Rion went in there. Daddy bought this ice cream. It was so good. I almost got to eat all of it and Daddy had to wait so long in the line that it took so long for him to get the ice cream. We had ice cream because I scored one goal and I got to eat frozen hot chocolate. Kuipers was after we went to Grahams. Grahams was a good place to eat. I had a sandwich. After we went there we went to an apple picking place where you got to pick apples off the trees, but there wasn’t enough apples on the trees. And, we got to go to this place where you got to get apples and there was this tractor you got to go on there. It was so cool. And we got donuts there. They were good. - Owen

I got frozen hot chocolate and it was my favorite. We couldn’t get any apples because there was only a little more left and we didn’t want to get a little bit. We wanted to get a lot. The end. - Rion
