Daddy's Birthday

I got Daddy more stuff on TV. It is the Big 10 Network and I got Daddy the Comcast Sports Net. The Comcast Sports Net and the Big Ten Network are sports games that me and my dad like to watch. Some of the sports games are Chicago Fire, some are Chicago White Sox, some are Chicago Bears, some are Chicago Cubs, and all of the other sports teams. And, I got to go miniature golfing because that’s what Rion got Daddy. And, he got Daddy shirts for going to miniature golfing. We went to this place that’s called Weber grill and there was a big red grill there. I ate steak with Daddy. It was so good. I wish I could have some more tonight. - Owen

Daddy turned 35 and he had a birthday cake. I got him a golf shirt, two golf shirts. My dad had a birthday cake and he had a card. We went to Big Red Grill. I gave him a golf ball. I took my dad golfing and this one was the hardest level where there was the low cave. And it was so hard to get into the hole. The end. - Rion

Willowbrook High School Soccer

I watched Willowbrook soccer. Do you know why my team got to go to the Willowbrook soccer game with me? Because we got to go play on the real soccer field. And the Willowbrook soccer team was really good. I like the WILLOWBROOK SOCCER TEAM!!! - Owen
Owen’s soccer team got to play on the Willowbrook high school field during half time of a soccer game. They had a great time and it gave us the chance to experience our future – lots of nights sitting in the high school stadium stands. – N

Morton Pumpkin Festival

Morton, the pumpkin capital of the world, well at least the pumpkin capital of central Illinois, has an annual pumpkin festival – classic carnival rides, crafts, and lots of pumpkin food. It was a rainy night, but the pumpkin food and frozen apple cider slushes were great! Donita and Leonard joined us and we all had a great laugh watching Rion try to navigate the fun house mirror maze. Owen took off without his brother who promptly walked into all of the walls. That didn’t slow him down (unfortunately) he kept running right into them! J - N
I went to a pumpkin fest. There were lots of stuff at the Morton Pumpkin Festival. My friends Donita and Leonard went there with us. It was awesome. There were bumper cars me and Rion rode in together. And, there was a house with mirrors where you had to get to the stairs and you had to get upstairs and go down the slide and Rion hit his head on that one. And, we got to eat some of the pumpkin funnel cake and drink apple cider. Done – Owen
We went on a ride that was so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so bumpy. And there was a curve that went kind of curved. We went to a slide where you had to get through a big mirror that was so hard because there was this black glass that you never want to get because you’ll be stuck in there. I ate pumpkin donuts and I ate pumpkin ice cream and I got to have apple cider slush. Done. – Rion

University of Illinois

They have drawers full of University of Illinois clothing, know the chant ILL-INI, and wanted to watch a football game. So, we figured it was time to head to Urbana-Champaign, mommy’s alma mater. It was a beautiful, sunny day. We saw the football team win from the first row on the 50th, tried to figure out why the Undergrad library is underground, heard the bells ring, ran and played on the Quad, tried to climb the Alma Mater, and saw all of the places mommy used to live. The only things they missed out on were going to classes and visiting the bars! - N
Illinois is the best college. I really want to go to Illinois. There is lots of things you got to do at Illinois. I got to play in the Quad. That was my favorite part going to Illinois. And, we watched the football game. And, we played in the Quad after the football game. And, the Illinois won and there score was 28-26. – Owen
We got to see all of these schools and we saw a bell tower. Then we saw Illinois won and we got to have an oreo thing with this on top and then ice cream in it and then that. I sawed the Illinois game. ILL-INI! We saw the black and white team lost. I sawed all of the city of Illinois and some people were tailgating. Done. – Rion Stufflebeam

Bunk Beds

After the pumpkin fest we went to our hotel and me and Rion had bunk beds. It was the best night ever! And, after that we got eat breakfast, go in the swim pool, and after all of that we got to watch tv. It was the best hotel in Peoria I think. And, Mommy and Daddy got to sleep together and there was also a beaver in our room. I like BUNK BEDS!!!! – Owen

I stayed on a bunk bed and I got to sleep on it while we were visiting there. And this place is a hotel and we got to see a TV while we were in our bed. And, I brought an animal blanket to the bunk bed. The end. - Rion

Chicago White Sox

Me and my mom went to a White Sox game. In the first inning the Kansas City Royals scored two points I think. The Sox scored two points and that was their final score. And, the Royals final score was eight points. I learned how to keep score and I had Italian ice. I got to write every single players name and you get to write if they get a strike out, or if they get an out, or if they get a home run because there was only one home run in the game. And, Paul Konerko was the one who got the home run. Done. – Owen

Since the time he could sit up, this has been his favorite spot

The Karate Kid

We encouraged Rion to get involved with any activity, and this is what he picked. Karate will either be really good for him, or a really, really bad idea.

Miller's Park

Labor Day fun at Miller’s Park in Milwaukee! The Cardinals beat the Brewers, but we got to see a grand slam. - N
We went to a Brewers game in Milwaukee. The St. Louis Cardinals won the game. The Brewers had three home runs. It was a good game and there was lots of hits in the game and I got to eat a hot dog. Done. – Owen
We got to see the Cardinals won. They got a home run. And then they got another one. And then they got another one. When the game was over we got to go home and then me and my brother we went inside of our car. I ran the bases and I got a card. It wasn’t a red card. I am done.- Rion

Brookfield Zoo

We had a fun trip to Brookfield Zoo with Uncle Nick and Katie.

Star Wars - Warning Spoilers!

After much debate, consultation with Uncle Nick, and internet research, the boys finally started watching Star Wars. Do you start with movie I, which came out fourth, or do you start with movie IV, which came out first? Owen decided that he had to start with I. They are loving it! It’s amazing that they can write paragraphs about Star Wars, but getting them to write about school is like torture. Mike says they take after him. So far we are through the first two movies and on Chapter 23 of the Clone Wars cartoons. They sit with their light sabers and watch every second. Personally, I’ve had enough boy stuff. I had to escape to the spa yesterday. J  - N
We watched Star Wars I and Star Wars II, but we didn’t watch any of Star Wars III yet. Star Wars I and Star Wars II are so cool. We watched the whole thing. And Anakin, on I, I think, or II, Anakin and the clones and Obi found, Obi was somewhere. And guess what? Anakin fighted Darth Ventress. It was on Star Wars II. The end. And, Obi fought a dragon and he trained it. He was putting the thing in his mouth and he was trying to make him fall over. The dragon bited it, on Star Wars II. And the clones were on a ship and Yoda was on a ship, and he came with the clones but he forgot CPO and R2. And, Mace Windu killed some droids. I loved it because it was cool. Yoda had the same thing as Count Dooku and they were both forcing. – Rion

Star Wars I Obi and his master fought Darth Maul. Anakin was in the movie, but he was just a little kid. Darth Maul died and Obi Wan’s master did also. Still in the first movie, Anakin raced people and he won. Movie II – Movie II, Obi-wan didn’t kill Bobo Fett and Jingo, and Bobo Fett said they got Obi, but Obi was just hiding. And then, all of the droids came out and there was monsters that came out and they were going to kill Padme, Obi, and Anakin, but the monster listed to Anakin. Then Mace Windu, there was like ten hundred million, billion, trillion Jedi that killed all the droids and Mace Windu sliced Jingo Fett’s head off. And then, in the last part, Anakin and Obi fought Count Dooku and then Yoda did. The movie was so cool! – Owen

Fall Soccer

I am doing fall soccer. I have pretty much the same people on my team. We might have two different people. We already have one different person right now. And, we have everyone that was on our team last year, but we don’t have Jacob or Emma. I don’t know. I have the same coaches too. And, next Saturday is my first game. Now I have goalies and everything else. And, we have more players out on the field. Last year we had only 4 players out on the field. Now we have 6 players. That’s it. - Owen
