Soccer
I had a soccer season and guess what. We won most of our soccer games. And
we played against the Fire. I don't know any team else, but our last team weplayed against the Fire and we played another game against the Fire too.
And, a game I had contagious. I like to play cuz I got to kick the ball
around a lot, and I was offense a lot, defense a lot, and I almost scored
lots of goals. That's it. - RiSt.

Over our soccer season, we only lost one game against the Fire. All of our
other games we won and I scored like 11 -15 goals. That's a really good
record for my goal scoring cuz last year I only scored 10. It was a really
great season. Here's some of the hardest teams we played, the Fire, the
Revolution, the Wizards, and I think that's it cuz I think all of the other
games were pretty easy. The end. - Owen

Strep Throat
Rion's allergies were acting up, which caused him to start wheezing again.
We took him into the doctor and he was also diagnosed with strep, as was
Owen. They didn't have any of the typical symptoms, so we never would have
guessed. Rion left with 6 medications (1 for the strep, 2 for allergies, and
3 for asthma). And, they were both contagious for 24 more hours, so we spent
the weekend at home. It made them crazy! Not only could they not leave, but
they didn't feel bad or understand why they were sick. To make it worse,
they both had to miss their soccer games and were very disappointed they
couldn't play. For us, it was kind of nice to have a relaxing at-home
weekend. - N
I had contagious and strep throat. I had six medicines and they were so
tasty, one I did not even like. It was like as big as a monster. Monsters
are like eight feet. The yellow medicine I didn't really like. The white one
I still have to take, still. I just stayed home. - RiSt
When I was sick, I had to miss my soccer game and we were playing against
one of my best friends, Adam, and I really wanted to play against Adam but I
got sick and I had a white medicine that tastes like nothing. After
Saturday, on Sunday, I couldn't go outside because I was sick and mom said I
couldn't go outside if I was sick, And, I didn't like that. - Owen

Rion's first independent blog post
Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm
I sawed my friends, named Billy and Macy, and we went out for lunch
together. And, I got to feed animals, all the animals that were in the tentsin Goebbert's, I went to. We went to a corn maze and I beat my mom. We
splitted up. Our moms said we couldn't but we did anyways. We beat them. Me
and Owen figured them out and mom lost. I hadded to help her and Macy's mom.
We sawed a pig race and we did not like it. Do you know why? Because Hannah
Montana won. We do not like Hannah Montana. So, the pony ride was so hard I
was about to fall off. The camel ride, the camel stopped. It was so funny
that we got to see poop and we got to see an animal peeing. So, done. - RiSt

Me, my little brother Rion, and my friends Macy and Billy went to
Goebbert's. The first thing we did at Goebbert's was take pictures. The
second thing we took a picture of was Scooby Doo. I can't remember the first
because it was such a long time ago. Then we went to get tickets. After we
got tickets, we went on the pony rides. I had to go on the big one named
JoJo. The first time I tried to get on JoJo, he stepped backwards a little.
After we did the pony rides, we did the jumpy. The jumpy was like a giant
pumpkin pillow or something. And we got to jump all over on it. And, my
brother fell down a little bit. After that we went on the camel rides. Our
camel stopped to go the bathroom. After the camel rides we went on the
hayrack ride. After the hayrack ride we went to the animal place. At the
animal place, I fed a few carrots to the giraffe and I fed lots of animals
including a yak, a deer, a pig, and a couple more animals. I was just naming
you some of the animals. After we fed the animals we went in a little maze
where we had to find our way out and we pretended we were in jail. After we
looked for Rion and found him, we went in the big maze. We beat our parents
and Billy. Rion was like, "Wait for me". Macy and I actually found the way
out because he was walking. Then we had to go back in the maze to find the
parents and Billy. Rion found the parents and then we ran to where the corn
maze ended. We went back in the maze three times and we came out it three
times. Then, we went to the grocery store and left. After that we went to a
restaurant and had lunch. After lunch we went home and we had to rest in the
car. That wasn't so fun. The end. - Owen

Tanners
I played with my cousins and they said they wanted to play with us but they
went to the market but we did first so that's it. I fed a goat and there's acup and I put food in it. And then I pulled it and then the goat ate out of
it. I played with my brother but first my brother was in trouble. Today my
brother is in trouble too. I played on an airplane. I played on a pretend
fire truck, on a real train, a caboose actually, so that's it. I got to see
my brother play this game, tetherball, and I got to play too. I played
against this little kid. So, done. - RiSt

At Tanners we went with our cousins, Ayla and Hannah, and one of our
grandparents. When we went to Tanners we got to eat lunch. After we ate
lunch we went in the marketplace. The line was only 15 minutes. After the
marketplace we had a snack and while we were eating snack our grandma, our
grandpa, one of our uncles, and our cousins came. After that we fed some
llamas and billy goats and goats. Then, we went on the playground. In the
playground me and my brother went on this airplane thing. And, we went in
this caboose. I went, "I'm not going in there, it's way too crowded". I
asked dad if we could play tetherball. He said yes, so we played tetherball.
I beat him one time, but he beat me the rest because he was throwing it in
the air. And, one time he hit me in the face. The end. - Owen

Grandparent's Day at Ardmore
At grandparent's day we did some grandparent sheets, like a grandparent word
find, alphabetical order, and scramble. And, we also had to do a scarecrow.
When we did the scarecrow, my uncle read me the instruction and I did the
coloring and the cutting. My uncle went there because you can have anybody
special to come, and because my grandparents couldn't come. One of them had
to work and one of them was on vacation, so my uncle came. Then we did our
white boards. Our whiteboards are boards you can use a dry erase marker on.
On my whiteboard we did like some subtraction and some addition problems,
like 8-2=6 and 5+7=12. After grandparent's day was over we went to recess
and then it was time for lunch and that's the whole story of grandparent's
day. Uncle Nick is my uncle. It was really nice for him to come cuz we
didn't have any grandparents to come or any special people to come and that
would be sad. So, he came and it was really fun. - Owen
Grandparent's day, my mom and my Uncle Nick, he lives in Peoria, and he came
to my grandparent's day at my school but it took a long time. It was
grandparents' day but any special person in your family can come but you
have to be at Ardmore school. I changed centers and there is colors. Guess
what the colors are. There's red, blue, yellow, and green. But this is the
order I go in, blue, green, yellow, and red. - RiSt

Our October Weekend
Eighty degree weather in October is rare, so we spent the weekend outside.
Friday afternoon was spent playing in the backyard, Saturday was soccergames, Sunday was Tanners orchard in central Illinois, and Monday was
Goebbert's pumpkin farm in Barrington. Rion is paying for all of that
outside time now! His allergies are acting up and he's pretty miserable. - N

The Principal's Office
Rion had his first trip to the principal's office. He made it a month and a half. For some reason, which made complete sense to him, he pointed his scissors at a classmates face. After getting in trouble, things spiraled out of control and he needed to be removed from the classroom. When the assistant principal came to get him, he kicked and punched her. We are not pleased, but are happy he made it this long. Since then, everything has been good. - N

Owen's New Glasses
I got my new glasses a couple days ago because I thought the red stripe was
really cool. My glasses have a red stripe and black on the outside. Before Igot my glasses, my mom wanted me to get one that had light green or yellow
ones, but I liked the red one better. I like my glasses also because they
don't have the tiny little pieces with nose pads. These just hook onto your
face with no nose pads. These are the most amazing glasses on earth. The
end. - Owen
A classic Owen outfit to match his new glasses - a worn out sports shirt, jeans that have holes and are too short, white socks, and sandals. - N

Long Grove Apple Festival
Sunday's weather was sunny and warm. Apparently everyone else thought the
Long Grove Apple Festival would be a great outing too because the place waspacked. The bakery line was over an hour long. With all of the people we
weren't able to do much, but we did have dark chocolate covered grapes which
were very yummy! - N

September Charity
I did charity and it was all about stuff but it was dogs and cats. And, that
was pretty nice because I helped the Magnificent Mutts. I gave them toys,
food, and stuff to clean, bowls, leashes, balls, night toys, bones. That's
it. - RiSt
September was Rion's charity month. He wanted to help animals, so we made a
donation to Magnificent Mutts, through the Elmhurst Animal Care Center. Rion
spent lots of time at Petco making sure each item he picked was just right.
He also insisted getting Parker something too! - N
